Dr. Valerie Payre and her planetary research group recently attended the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (LPSC) with research presentations and posters.

Alexis Jansen received an honorable mention for the Dwornik award at LPSC for her poster and will receive a plaque in recognition. Alexis is also the recipient of a NASA JPL summer internship to work on lunar crater.

Jae Dancer received a summer internship at LPI/NASA JSC to work on magmatic processes in Gale crater on Mars.

Meanwhile, Dr. Payre is officially Co-I on the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover mission with the SuperCam instrument team to work on the most recent data we have from the rover in the Jezero crater rim on Mars. Congratulations to Valerie and her students!
