Todd Ririe
Todd worked with Lon Drake on his M.S., started his Ph.D. with Ken Clark and finished with Tom Foster and Dick Hoppin. Todd has served in the past on the Iowa Geological Advisory Board and the IIHR board (Iowa Institute for Hydraulic Research), and was involved with the Oakdale Research Lab. Todd is also connected to Frank Weirich with his hydraulics activities.
Todd has a BA degree in geology from Cornell College, and a PhD degree in geology from the University of Iowa and is a registered professional geologist in California. He has over 30 years of experience in applied geology, geologic instruction, and environmental applications of geology. He worked as a research geologist for Unocal Science & Technology in Brea, CA before joining BP in La Palma, CA after the Chevron acquisition of Unocal in 2005.
Todd retired from BP at the end of 2016 and is currently consulting part time. He is a member of Geological Society of America, Society of Economic Geologists, National Groundwater Association, and Society of Mining Engineers where he is currently chair of the S CA section.
